Today, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who's been quietly, yet powerfully, carving out his own lane—070 BeHeard. Known for his raw lyricism, gritty delivery, and unwavering authenticity, BeHeard has been catching the eyes and ears of hip-hop fans everywhere.

After years of making waves in the underground and gaining respect as part of the 070 collective (070 Shake), 070 BeHeard has finally released his highly anticipated solo album, The Contact, on March 20th, and it's already stirring up major buzz within the music community.

A Sound That Hits Hard

If you’re looking for an album that’s unapologetically real and leaves no room for fluff, then The Contact is the project you’ve been waiting for. At just 10 tracks long, clocking in at a mere 20 minutes, this album packs a punch that leaves you wanting more. Each song is filled with raw energy, sharp lyricism, and gritty beats that’ll have your head bobbing within seconds.

070 BeHeard’s sound is distinctive—a fusion of gritty rap and unfiltered art that hits you right in the gut. You won’t find any watered-down, commercialized tunes here. Instead, 070 BeHeard’s music is as real as it gets, pouring his heart out over hard-hitting production that reflects his experiences and struggles in an industry that can sometimes feel too polished. With every verse, he’s telling a story—a story of survival, of growth, and of staying true to himself despite the pressures that come with the spotlight.

The Features: All About Real Ones

BeHeard’s collaborations on The Contact are just as real and raw as he is. The album features 070phi, BU$HI, and JayLanie, all of whom bring their own unique energy to the project, adding layers of complexity to the already powerful sound of the album. It’s clear that 070 BeHeard values collaboration with those who share his vision—artists who are not just looking for clout, but for true artistic expression.

The Future Is Now: What's Next for 070 BeHeard?

With the release of The Contact, 070 BeHeard is proving that he’s not just a side character in the 070 collective, but a force to be reckoned with on his own. The album is making waves, and it’s clear that this is only the beginning for 070 BeHeard. Expect to see more of him, not just in the underground scene, but on bigger stages, as his unique voice and raw talent continue to gain the recognition they deserve.

Q&A with 070 BeHeard:

Welcome to ALT. RECESS, 070 BeHeard! We just heard “The Contact” in its entirety and we are blown away. Can you tell us about the story behind this masterpiece?

Yerr wasup guys, thank you for connecting with me. I began working on The Contact instantly after releasing my last project "Titanium Opus and Me". I was moving back to Jersey for good so this was like my returning to the essence project I'd say lol. Returning to the essence with more maturity and understanding in myself, my art and what I want it to stand for and represent as I move forward.

When creating, when is that moment you know record is complete and ready for the world?

I think its in the first bar really, the first bar sends the wind traveling and then I just flow. Everything is dictated by the beat tho if I really think about. The beat fills me with life then I'm able to speak out. Probably why I been taking a liking to producing my own stuff more recently. its easier to build the sound I'm looking for that way on some days.

One of our favourites on the album is “Buck Seven Three” with 070 phi. How did this record came about?

This track was produced by my real cousin! InfamousIrv, he's incredible and worked on his craft for years, I'm blessed to be able to bridge together with him to create and reach people around the world with our sound. I really love that this is your favorite one.

Phi brings out the best of me every time we work on a song. He's one of the best lyricist I collaborate with and usually I feel like his verses be way sicker than mine lmaoo. Love that brotha he's a true Mc I'm honored to be able to call on him to work.

Kicking off 2025 with a banger of an album, what can we expect for the future from 070 BeHeard?

Expect more music for sure. The amount of feedback I been getting on this tape is inspiring. People are connecting to my music for what feels like the first time. So yea the work is continuing I'm probably making beats while you read this. Expect more collaborations. I'm always listening and finding new artist and reaching out to them, so me and all the real soul-diers gon connect in due time...
