Let’s talk about the kind of song that doesn’t just hit play in your ears, but sets up camp in your soul. That’s exactly what Davide Dalmonte’s latest single Dying To Live does—this one doesn’t just pass through you; it lingers.

At just 20 years old, Davide is already emerging as one of the most compelling voices of his generation—literally and emotionally. With a vocal range that dances effortlessly between delicate falsetto and rich, grounded tones, and the kind of pitch perfection that most singers only dream of, it’s no wonder millions have tuned in to hear what he has to say—or sing.

And Dying To Live? It’s a journey. An indie-tinged track layered with ethereal guitar strums, haunting background vocals, and melodies that feel almost cinematic in their emotional pull.

There’s something almost timeless about it. It doesn’t scream at you; instead, it sits beside you and quietly speaks truth. The lyrics reflect the universal ache of pushing forward when life feels like it’s working against you and somehow, it’s both heartbreaking and hopeful.

Davide’s voice in this track feels like a soft reassurance, the kind that gently taps your shoulder and says, “Hey, me too. But we’re still here.” It’s relatable in a way that breaks generational walls, whether you’re fresh out of high school or reminiscing on your wild twenties, there’s something in this song that speaks directly to you.

Born from a wave of TikTok fame, Davide isn’t your typical social media success story. Sure, he’s got the numbers—over 4 million followers across platforms and a jaw-dropping 113 million likes on his videos. But he’s also got the chops to back it up. You might remember him from his standout appearance on the viral sea shanty reimagining of Hoist the Colours (yes, that song from Pirates of the Caribbean) with The Wellermen and friends, a track that took over TikTok’s soundscape in early 2024 and racked up more than 100 million global streams.

Following his solo debut with Before We Lose Control, Davide became the only European artist selected for the prestigious A Cappella Academy in California, led by none other than Avi Kaplan of Pentatonix fame. That summer of intensive vocal training clearly paid off. When he returned to Europe, he poured that experience straight into the creation of his debut EP Virus, which has since passed 1.5 million streams.

By the summer of 2024, TikTok Italia named him “Artist of the Week,” and by December, he was sitting pretty at #3 on their Top 10 Artists of the Year list. His face graced the cover of Italians' Next Gen Magazine, and his name popped up everywhere—from Billboard to indie music blogs like this one.

Fast-forward to January 2025, Davide flew to LA to team up with multi-platinum producer Olivier Bassil (yeah, the one behind tracks for NBA YoungBoy and Rod Wave). The result? Two new songs, one of which is the single we're talking about today: Dying To Live, released April 3rd and already pulling in hundreds of thousands of streams.

If you haven't heard it yet, do yourself a favor. Put on some headphones, press play, and let the song wash over you. It’s got that rare quality, like a rainy day that somehow makes you feel warm inside. Dying To Live is more than just a track; it’s a reminder that even in the chaos, there’s still beauty in the will to keep going.

And if Davide Dalmonte is the voice of this new wave of emotionally honest indie pop? We’re absolutely here for it.
