Alabama-based country-pop artist RYN doesn’t follow trends — she makes her own lane and invites the rest of us to ride along. Her new single “Graveyard” is proof of that: a haunting yet healing anthem born from pain, transformation, and the decision to finally let the past rest where it belongs.

The song carries weight. Not just lyrically, but emotionally. With a subtle ambient pulse and lyrics that cut through the noise, “Graveyard” is less about loss and more about release. “There were some bad memories I needed to put to rest,” RYN shares. “And I felt like music was the best way to do that… and then BOOM! Graveyard was born.” The track feels like dusk turning into dawn — heavy, honest, and strangely freeing.

RYN’s voice has a way of hitting you in the chest while still wrapping you in comfort. Her songs echo the strength of artists like Dolly Parton and Jelly Roll, but her story? It’s all her own.

Originally from the DMV area, she began her music career dabbling in pop and EDM, but the fit never felt right. “While listening to country music, something just kind of clicked within me,” she says. That click became a calling — and in 2019, she left everything behind, moved to Alabama, and started over.

Since then, RYN’s been building a music identity that’s unapologetically authentic. She writes about being misunderstood, fighting your demons, and refusing to settle. Tracks like “Drive Thru” and “Signs” tell stories we all know too well — miscommunication, waiting for something better, trying to make sense of it all in a messy digital world. It’s country music for the real world.

Outside the studio, RYN is just as inspiring. A medical researcher working toward her PhD with dreams of curing Alzheimer’s. A powerlifter focused on strength, not size. A caretaker to a small army of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and horses — and she’s even opened her home to animal hospice care.

It’s that same compassion and resilience that flows into her songs. “Have faith in yourself,” she says. “You have to love yourself first before you can love anyone else.” And you believe her — because she’s living it.

“Graveyard” isn’t just a song; it’s a turning point. It’s the kind of track that meets you right where you are — whether you're healing, hurting, or just needing to feel seen.

RYN isn’t trying to be anyone else. She’s not chasing trends or fitting into a mold. She’s just telling her truth, and somehow, it feels like ours too. With every release, she’s not just making music — she’s building a community.

And if this is the road she’s paving? We’re all in.
