In a world where music often feels manufactured, Bia Javier is a breath of fresh air. The Dominican-American singer-songwriter from Lawrence, MA, fuses silky R&B with Latin rhythms to create a sound that’s both nostalgic and modern, personal yet universal. She’s not just an artist but a storyteller, drawing from her life as a new mother, her Dominican roots, and her Berklee-trained artistry to craft songs that feel like conversations straight from the heart. With her latest single “IDNYE” (I Don’t Need Your Energy), Bia delivers more than music, she offers empowerment, healing, and a reminder of the strength we carry even in our most vulnerable moments.

Blending smooth R&B with her Dominican roots, Bia creates music that’s bilingual, soulful, and deeply connected to her lived experience. She doesn’t just write songs—she crafts moments that carry vulnerability, resilience, and joy. A proud Berklee College of Music alum and Berklee City Music Scholarship recipient, she’s already been recognized by outlets like Telemundo, BuzzMusic LA, Spark FM, Major Stage, and Sofar Sounds. She’s even graced major stages, including Boston’s Art & Music Soul BAMS 2024 Festival alongside Grammy Award winner Rapsody, BJ the Chicago Kid, and Xavier Omär.

Adding to her growing list of milestones, Bia was recently welcomed into the GRAMMY Voting Member Class of 2025—a distinction she describes as both an incredible opportunity and a true honor. “I’m proud to be a 2025 GRAMMY Voting Member—an incredible opportunity and a true honor to be part of such a respected and influential community in the music industry,” she says.

Her new single, “IDNYE” (I Don’t Need Your Energy), is a stunning reflection of that artistry. Written just three months postpartum, the song came during one of the most challenging chapters of her personal life. “There’s so much that goes unsaid about the silent battles new mothers face after giving birth—the emotional shifts, the identity changes, and the strain it can place on even the strongest partnerships,” Bia shares.

The track itself is a powerful mix of classic R&B tones and Latin elements, anchored by Bia’s barrier-breaking voice. The lyrics tell the story of standing firm in her independence—choosing strength and clarity over anything that could hold her back. What began as a vulnerable, late-night writing session transformed into a declaration of self-worth and empowerment.

Quoting her own journey, Bia says:

“My hope is that women—especially new mothers—feel empowered knowing that difficult moments are temporary. Things do get better. We are capable of incredible strength, even in the face of overwhelming obstacles. Motherhood is a profound transformation, and while it’s not always easy, I truly believe it changes us for the better. I want women to know they’re not alone and that their power, resilience, and growth are something to be proud of.”

“IDNYE” isn’t just a song—it’s an anthem for anyone who’s ever needed to reclaim their energy and remind themselves of their strength. Whether you’re navigating love, loss, or the everyday challenges of life, Bia Javier’s music feels like that honest friend who sits with you, hands you the truth, and reminds you that you’re more than enough.

With her powerful voice, fearless storytelling, and rich blend of R&B and Latin influences, Bia Javier isn’t just rising—she’s redefining what it means to be an artist who really connects.
